Propaganda and the Distortion of Kshatriya History

Rajputs-who are they? Mere losers? Daughters-givers? Or those so-called “Zulmi Thakurs” who oppressed people and stole lands? This is the twisted narrative being sold by self-proclaimed historians, their puppets, TV serials, and movies. They always portray Rajputs as villains. Is there no other community they could target or have they deliberately forgotten how Rajput landlords gave their lands to uplift others? How they sacrifice their wealth for education and welfare?
If Rajputs were mere losers, then who were the kings and warriors who stood as the first line of defense against Islamic invasions for over a thousand years? If Rajputs were just daughters-givers, let them name one caste that hasn’t married off daughters to Muslims. They love flaunting their lists, yet most of these names have no basis in contemporary records. Now compare that to the millions of Rajput warriors who laid down their lives.

What about the Rajput women who performed jauhar? The widows left behind? The children who grew up orphans? Sacrifices that the entire nation takes pride in are now being erased and dismissed. If Rajputs had no history, then who were the ones shielding this land for centuries? During the revolt of 1857, Rajputs endured suffering on a scale that no other community faced. Did they fight for personal gain? What did they get in return? They lost their livelihoods, saw hundreds of their forts demolished their treasuries plundered and their lands confiscated.

If Rajputs didn’t contribute, then who made these sacrifices? These propagandists are not just spreading lies – they are systematically trying to break the pride of Rajputs. They want the masses to believe these false narratives and worse they want Rajputs to believe that their ancestors were
failures. This isn’t just an attack on history- it’s an attack on identity, on pride, on legacy.
If one wants to destroy a powerful legacy then first destroy its heroes. You make people doubt their greatness and tarnish the respect they command. That’s exactly what these propagandists are doing-stripping Rajputs of their rightful place in history. But here’s the hypocrisy-if Rajputs are so insignificant, so “villainous,” then why are they desperate to claim Rajput kings as their own? Why are they so eager to give Rajput titles to others? If Rajputs truly didn’t matter, why would they even bother rewriting their history?

The answer is straightforward- they want to establish their propaganda and elevate their own fabricated figures. By redistributing Rajput history and warriors to other castes, they aim to erase the true identity of Rajputs from history. If the great Rajput warriors and leaders are no longer seen as part of the Rajput community, their legacy is diluted, leaving nothing behind. The few who remain will be defamed as traitors or dismissed as losers. And the irony is clear: if Rajputs were so insignificant, why are they so eager to appropriate Rajput kings and titles for other castes? It’s because by rewriting this history, they shift the credit elsewhere and leave no space for Rajputs in the historical narrative.
